Gospel Fellowship Church Core Beliefs
The Bible
We believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God, completely inerrant and the final authority in all matters of faith and life.
God
We believe in one God who eternally exists in three persons; The Father, The Son (Jesus Christ) and The Holy Spirit. These three are equal in power and possess the same attributes and perfections.
Jesus Christ
Is God the Son, became fully human without ceasing to be fully God, lived a completely human life, died on a cross for our sins, and rose again from the dead.
Man and Women
Are the creation of God made in his image and profoundly loved by Him. We were originally sinless and lived in perfect relationship with God. Because of the sin of Adam and Eve, sin entered the world and we became sinful in nature. This sin leaves us completely alienated from God, destined to die, and helpless to recover or achieve salvation.
Salvation
Because of God's love for us, Jesus became a man, died to pay the penalty for our sin, and rose again. This proved he is truly The Son of God who conquered sin and death. Our part is to humble ourselves and admit our sin, place our trust in Jesus alone, and commit our lives to him. We then experience God's forgiveness, salvation, and eternal life.
The Church
Although God has blessed us with a beautiful new facility, we know that the church is not a building or an address. The Church is made up of all those men and women who have placed their faith and trust in Jesus Christ. However, this Universal Church is expressed in local self-supported and self governed local churches (like Gospel Fellowship). The local churches are made up of men and women who gather together to pray, worship, serve, study the Bible, and support each other. Everyone who truly knows Jesus ought to be a vital part of a local church.
